It is with a heavy heart that I post today. Pierce Phillips has earned his wings today. Please drop by and pay your respects to his family..
September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) has come and gone with little notice. One week later the NFL players are wearing pink in honor of Breast Cancer. What is wrong with this picture? Somebody has got to take notice that our children are dying. Future presidents, lawyers, doctors, mommies and daddies... All gone before their time... Why? Doesn't anyone care?

I was heartbroken by the passing of Pierce... Another sweet child gone way too soon... It upset me so much to see how much pink was covering everthing all throughout the month of September... But you know, once a famous celebrity or policitian has a child with cancer, then there will be notice...
I think about you and your family often. I hope you are healing...
You know we care, Mickey!
I'm amazed sometimes about the publicity juggernaut that the breast cancer organizations have - and I can't complain about their success because my Sis is a breast cancer survivor.
But the lack of funding for Peds cancers is just astounding, and worse than that, heartbreaking! You and Diane are working to change that, and I hope we can help you do that, Mickey!
Hugs to you both,
ElizabethNYC
Heart breaks for these children....it is ashame. I don't understand why more isn't being done for our children.
Continued prayers for all of you.
