Who are you?

Many of you may have noticed the tracking device to the right of my blog page. It gives me a good idea who is checking in on Cody. I know many of you by name but there are many of you who I don't know. Please take a few minutes and say "hello" in a comment. Let me know where you are from. It means so much to Diane and I that you all care about our son. Please say "hello."

Checking in from Frankfort KY! Glad you are all home home safely and that your short visit was enjoyable in spite of the cold weather. The NYC pictures are so pretty. Cody looks fantastic, too! I'll bet the kids were glad to have you all home so quickly.

Looking forward to some news tomorrow.

I hesitate to leave of comment - but here goes - I am just a stranger who found your blog searching for blogs mentioning neuroblastoma. My son battled NB for over 4 years. He spent a lot of time at MSKCC as well. He passed away in July.

I am cheering for Cody and he is in good hands with the NB team at MSKCC.

Howdy from Burlington, VT - it's ElizabethNYC here. Isn't that confusing? ;-) I'm an ex-NYer, trapped in the boondocks.

Actually, most of my family is up here and it's a joy to spend time with them all. :-) Every moment spent with family is precious, as you know.

Prayers continue from the North Country!

Mickey and Diane,

I want you to know that I think of you and your sweet children everyday, and pray for safety and healing. I can't even imagine how hard this is for the two of you - you are my heros. You are - to me - the epitomy of strength.

Hang in there... I pray for good news for Cody every day and will be happy to support you in your fight to cure this wretched disease!!! Sign me up for a bunch of bracelets - I'll sell them for you!!!!!

Hello Deck Ape and family,

You don't know me but I'm Ed from South Pasadena, California; I found my way here from Runnersworld.com a month or so ago and have been checking on Cody's progress almost daily since. Take care.

I came to your blog by way of Jenny (thelearnedfoot) on the beginners forum at RW. I am praying for your sweet Cody. I am the mom of 4 kids, and my heart aches when I read all that he is having to go through. God Bless your whole family.

Hey Mickey, your tracker probably says New Orleans right now. Most of the time it says Biloxi. I have been having some issues with my Dad. Details are in an update thread at RWOL. I missed checking the blog for a couple days, but I have not stopped praying.

It was very nice seeing him again.
I'm glad you are all home again
do pray that all the news will be
good and I'll be anxious to hear.
I'm going to lay back down for now
and Alan is supposed to call me
when he gets to Air Port. LATER....
LOVE YOU ALL,

Hi Mickey,

We're still in Manassas :-) I have been praying for you & Diane, and of course Cody (and the rest of your little deckapes)!!

No one knows the trials of cancer and the day-to-day ups and downs until they either go through it themselves or they read your blog! I have discovered that it is truly a roller coaster ride!

Once we get off our ride, your tracker will show us in Oregon :-)

God bless!!

I don't normally post messages, but after reading that entry...
We're in Florida, my daughter Alina had NB4 and was also treated at MSK, now 2 years NED. I believe we're both in the bandofparents? It was nice (cyber)meeting Cody, he seems like a great kid.

Deck,

Steve checking in from the Chicago Suburbs. I don't post very often, but I check in on a daily basis and see how Cody is doing. I hope this visit will get things going in a continuous positive direction for Cody and can hopefully reduce the number of ups and downs that your family has had to endure.

I believe I first heard of your situation from the learnedfoot several months ago on the RW forum.

Best wishes for Cody and your family.

Mickey & Diane, Even though I do not comment everyday. You all are in my daily prayers and thoughts. LOL Pam

Deck and family,

I'm an old RW forumite who mostly just lurks now and also have some friends who are long time RW posters who told me about you and Cody.

I check in everyday and keep Cody and your family in my prayers. I live in the Aleutian Islands, Dutch Harbor, Alaska.

I don't leave many comments here for often I can't seem to sign in. I usually comment on Cody's RW thread. I think of you and your family every single day. You are all so strong and are truly an inspiration to everyone. We have a local family here going through a similar situation with their 6th grade daughter. I do not have the means to keep updated on their situation. I feel that when I check in on Cody, I am checking in on everyone I know, and don't know, that needs prayers, support, and in some cases, miracles. As a teacher of young children, as well as a parent, Cody's situation has really affected me. He represents so much and you all inspire me, as well as others, to remember what is important in life. My prayers are with you every single day!

Deck, I check your blog pretty regularly. I have two young children who are the light of my life (DD - 4, DS - 1) and can't imagine what it is like going through what you and your family are with Cody. Thoughts and prayers from San Diego! DW and I loved Lion King in NY as well.

Mickey, I check in every day or two. I would be North Olmsted Ohio, even though I don't live in North Olmsted but it's pretty close to where I live. (thelearnedfoot from Runner's World) -- I will do my next long run for Cody. I asked for good vibes for him from my own blog readers.

Pete from Oxford PA. Came here via learnedfoot (who has renamed her blog "Draw the Sword") and I haven't met her f2f either. I pray for your son, and for you and the rest of your family.

Mickey,

I met you in Philly and post on the Masters.

I pray for strength for you and your family as Cody fights his battle.

I first learned about neuroblastoma when I ran a 5K sponsored by the Catie Hoch Foundation, which raises money to help kids take a break from cancer and have endowed a chair at MSK for neuroblastoma research. Maybe their efforts are in some way touching Cody.

Sending positive thoughts your way.
