Well it didn't last long...

Cody was out of the hospital for one day. Not really, because I had to take him in for meds today. At 8:30 tonight Diane headed back in with Cody. He has a fever and he's neutropenic so he must go in and get antibiotics. This is one of hardest parts of this whole thing from a parents side. We look so forward to having the family home for a few days and it just doesn't last. You really can't plan anything from day to day. So it's back to 24 hour shifts again... Here are a couple of pictures we took tonight. We obviously didn't know he had a fever yet.

Hey Deck,

I know it was just a short time he was home but nice pics and hopefully Cody's fever will subside soon and he'll be back at home in no time. Earlier today, I finally got something sent out from here in Korea...hope it arrives there OK! More prayers and positive thoughts...

Mickey,
Sorry to hear of Cody's fever - hopefully his medical team will get that cleared up quick as can be and he'll be back home with y'all to finish decorating that tree! I bet Cody enjoyed that too - wonderful pix!

Prayers heading to all of you...

Even it was only a short time, it was still home. And he got to see the Christmas tree.

Keep taking care of each other,

Dottie

Darn, I was expecting to see pictures, I was not expecting to see him have to go back to the hospital. Just another hurdle. You know we will keep praying..

It is hard to live day to day in a world so set upon living life "planned". We have calendars and clocks to live our lives, but the truth is that life is lived in those unplanned moments.

Deck, I hope that your family has a wonderful *unplanned* Christmas season. I hope each day is filled with moments worth living. Hug them tight!

Sorry to hear the fever is back. It does look like Cody had a good time helping to decorate the tree though. We'll be praying that he comes home soon.

Mickey & Diane,

You are in our prayers. If there is anything that we can do for you please let us know. Give Cody a hug and kiss for me. I have a gift for all the kids that I am going to leave at work for you.
